About 800 people attended Saint Louis Fashion Fund's annual "Speaking of Fashion" speaker series - in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis and Caleres - featuring globally acclaimed fashion designer Carolina Herrera Creative Director Wes Gordon The nationally recognized speaker series has featured American fashion legends such as Michael Kors, Diane von Furstenberg and the late André Leon Talley. There was also a special guest appearance by Supermodel, Super Entrepreneur and former St. Louisan Karlie Kloss.
This fall, fashion designer Shanna Britta hosted MUSE at the iconic 21C Museum Hotel St. Louis, where guests savored a four-course gourmet meal as couture creations moved through the gallery like living works of art. Surrounded by art installations on The Future is Female, the evening was designed to awaken every sense - taste, touch, sight, sound and smell. For her, couture means not something distant or untouchable, but something deeply personal and profoundly luxurious. For Britta, fashion is not about what you wear, it’s about how you feel.

Saint Louis Fashion Fund, a nonprofit and long-recognized face and voice of fashion for the St. Louis Region, has named Brian Bristow to its Board of Directors. Brian will serve as the Fund’s Finance Chairman. Brian managed multimillion-dollar partnerships for global brands like Amazon, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and will bring those skills to the table in his new board position with the storied organization leading the fashion charge in St. Louis.

Recently, Susan and David Sherman opened their home to showcase an exquisite collection of Artemas Quibble handcrafted leather belts. Guests got to see up close how each piece is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and timeless design. Their pieces have been worn by who’s who of A-list celebrities, including Brad Pitt, Kylie Jenner, Gisele Bündchen, Chris Hemsworth, and Kate Moss, to name a few. Now, through October 18th, Artemas Quibble founders Jason Ross and Natasha Chekoudjian are donating 10% of all proceeds to the Saint Louis Fashion Fund for its support of fashion innovation in our city.

Saint Louis Fashion Fund just announced the recipients of its inaugural Susan Sherman Fashion Scholarships named after the Fashion Fund’s Co-Founder and Board Chair Susan Sherman. Scholarships were earmarked for students who are Missouri residents attending a Missouri college or university with an accredited fashion or fashion-related program. The formal announcement took place in conjunction with Fashion Fund’s 2nd Annual “Fashion Futures Sendoff” in partnership with Caleres and Neiman Marcus.

The Fashion Group International Saint Louis presents THE red carpet fashion event of the year! Join them at the Ritz-Carlton Solarium for a watch party of the Met Gala held live in NYC on Monday, May 5th. This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” honoring the museum’s exhibition, which will highlight the archetype of the Black Dandy. The FGI Met Gala Watch Party runs from 5:30-9:30pm. Recently, Gent Men's Fashion Week celebrated its 10-year anniversary with over 300 attendees and an explosive runway show, featuring 24 designers and over 100 pieces on the catwalk. This year’s show introduced the Blue Jacket Segment, dedicated to raising awareness for men’s prostate health. Doctors and patients took to the runway wearing custom-made blue jackets, created by local designers—many of whom are members of Fashion Group International St. Louis, which played a key role in curating this impactful show. For ten years, Susan Sherman has led the charge to resurrect the glorious past of the St. Louis fashion industry and take it back to its former glory. She is on a crusade to reclaim a significant stake that the Gateway City once had in America’s multi-billion-dollar industry. Earlier this month at St. Louis’ most exclusive fashion mall in the Saks Fifth Avenue gallery, Susan and the Saint Louis Fashion fund culminated the 12-months-long campaign to commemorate the achievements of the fund. Saint Louis Fashion Fund Board Chair Susan Sherman visited Katherine Bernhardt at one of her three studio/gallery spaces in St. Louis a year ago, where she discovered that several paintings in storage featured fashion content, and “something clicked.” Fast forward to holiday season 2024 and Katherine and Susan’s collaboration will make available to collectors and fans of fashion/art in St Louis and around the world a limited-edition box of three t-shirts featuring images from the Katherine Bernhard’s Supermodel paintings. Fall Weddings have become even more popular over the last few years with almost 35% of couples tying the knot in autumn. Factors like temperate weather (not too hot and not too cold), pretty fall foliage and the lull between summer and winter holidays all make the fall season an appealing time of year to get married. The newly-opened Post Plaza and Event Space at the St Louis Country Library’s Clark Family Branch. and Saint Louis Fashion Fund will host a ticketed reception and screening of "Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge" on Tuesday, July 23.
