Saint Louis Fashion Week Is Back!
By Joan Berkman and AK Brown
Ten years.
That’s how long Saint Louis Fashion Week had been absent from the city before this year which kicked off June 8 with a stunningly stylish reception at Powell Hall! This year’s line-up included a series of four unique and innovative runway shows featuring models and designers throughout Missouri culminating on June 13th at 18 Rails complete with a proclamation from St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer acknowledging the comeback of STL Fashion Week. A portion of the week-long event proceeds - $10,000 - was donated to support Saint Louis Fashion Fund’s scholarship program.
According to STLFW’s President & CEO Teisha Barber who hails from Kansas City: “When we made the decision to bring STLFW back, we knew there would be challenges. Launching in a new city, rebuilding a brand that had been gone for a decade, earning trust, and creating something people would believe in again wasn’t going to be easy. But from day one, St. Louis embraced the vision.”
Over four sold-out runway shows, designers, models, sponsors, volunteers, media, and fashion lovers came together to prove that fashion belongs in St. Louis and that the community is ready for something bigger.
“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who took a chance on this first season back. Your support, enthusiasm, and belief in what we’re building made this week unforgettable.
“After ten years away, Saint Louis Fashion Week is back. And we’re just getting started. Here’s to two seasons in 2027 beginning next April!” Barber said.
