A Sophisticated Guide to Spring 2026

compiled by Grayling Holmes

We’ve had our ups and downs this past winter season — one of the earliest snowfalls on record blanketed St. Louis lawns ground in December, a major snow storm wrought as much as a foot of powdery snow on January 24th; coupled with the lingering bitter cold temps Mother Nature played reindeer games with us. Slick roads and snow piles brought our games to a halt — galas were postponed, our favorite restaurants were temporarily shuttered, and the city prepped itself for a potentially catastrophic winter. When Pawatawny Phil predicted six more weeks of winter on February 2nd, our mind were wrapped in dread. We prayed that he was wrong.

And wrong he was…at least in St. Louis. We had an early spring. In fact, by February’s end the mercury reached a record-breaking 86 degrees, marking the warmest February day and month in city history.

Spring. Ah, glorious spring. The parties. The food. The activities. St. Louis loves the warm weather. We embrace it. There is so much to do here. We all want to live our lives like they are golden.

Get out for the glorious Spring of 2026. If the First Day of Spring heralds anything with a record-breaking 88 degrees, we are in for a season where there is nothing stopping us from soaking up all that the 314 has to offer.

From Passover, to Easter, to Derby Day and Earth Day, and of course, Mother’s Day, St. Louis in the spring is magical. Drink it up!

Following is a compendium of what to buy, what to do, and where to eat to have a spring of glowing with sophistication in St. Louis.

Faith Berger Art Consultants

Spring invites a sense of renewal, and the holidays it holds are rooted in gathering, reflection, and beauty at home. For Passover, Easter, and Mother's Day, I believe in gifting pieces that transcend the season - luminous original artwork or art-inspired rugs that bring warmth, intention, and quiet sophistication to everyday living. These are gifts that become part of a home's story, elevating how we celebrate while creating a lasting sense of elegance that endures long after the holidays have passed.

Art is one of the most meaningful gifts we can give - something deeply personal that lives on long after the moment has passed. Whether an original painting that becomes a treasured heirloom or an art-inspired rug that anchors the rhythm of daily life, these pieces are meant to be collected, lived with, and passed down. In a season centered on renewal and gathering, the most lasting gifts are the ones that carry beauty forward, becoming part of a home's story for generations to come.
