Taqueria Morita Moves to Winslow's Table

In order to serve guests year-round, Taqueria Morita is moving indoors following a highly successful first season. The restaurant, which opened in the garden-side pavilion space at Vicia last May, is taking up residency at Winslow’s Table this winter.

Taqueria Morita’s last day at the Vicia space will be October 14th, and Winslow’s Table will adjust their hours to serve breakfast and lunch only, with Taqueria Morita holding court during dinner service beginning October 26th.

Inspired by Take Root Hospitality's partner and Culinary Director Aaron Martinez’s Mexican heritage, Taqueria Morita drew a loyal fan-base from the start, thanks to the restaurant’s freshly made seasonal cocktails and tacos. With the change of location and cooler weather, Taqueria Morita will usher in an updated menu that features heartier fare, with tacos continuing to play a starring role. Preview dishes include Fried Chicken Tortas with avocado crema, Oaxaca cheese, and shaved cabbage; Tijuana Style Bacon wrapped hot dogs with morita aioli and jalapeno escabeche; and Mushroom Barbacoa Quesadilla with salsa cruda. A kids’ menu will also be introduced and select dishes from both menus will be available online for to-go service. Plans to expand the cocktail program, which currently features signature margaritas and is spearheaded by TRH Bar Manager Phil Weaver Ingram, are underway.
