Sophisticated Giving Spotlight: Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra

This week’s Sophisticated Giving Spotlight is on the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra.

Sophisticated Details: The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is the second-oldest orchestra in the country, led by Music Director Stephane Deneve. For more than 140 years, the SLSO has been committed to artistic excellence, educational impact, and community collaborations, all to enrich lives through the power of music. The SLSO and its nearly 100 musicians perform more than 300 events yearly in Powell Hall, in the community at school, healthcare facilities, park, and most recently, online through digital concerts.

Sophisticated Goals: The SLSO continues to fulfill its mission of enriching lives through the power of music. In 2021, the SLSO sharpened its focus even more on making music accessible to all, creating opportunities for the community to connect with music at its historic home in Powell Hall, throughout the region, through media broadcast, and through its growing digital portfolio.

The pandemic opened opportunities for the SLSO to connect with more people online, offering musical experiences through video presentations and online events for everyone from seasoned music lovers to students experiencing music for the first time. The SLSO welcomes audiences where they are, whether through live musical experiences at Powell Hall or through digital spaces. Since March 2020, the SLSO has generated more than four million impressions through live performances, radio and television broadcasts, and online channels.
