St. Louis Press Club's 28th Annual Media Persons of the Year Awards

St. Louis Press Club's 28th Annual Media Persons of the Year Awards Dinner will take place on Thursday, November 3, at Edward Jones.

The Media Persons of the Year Dinner is an evening of entertainment and celebration recognizing outstanding St. Louis area professionals for their accomplishments and contributions to journalistic excellence. The event serves as a primary fundraiser to raise vital resources for student journalism scholarships. Since the first MPOY event in 1988, hundreds of students have been awarded journalism scholarships and internships.

KSDK's Rene Knott will emcee the program which this year will include spotlight performances by Brian Owens, a renowned singer and songwriter.

The event will also recognize the following honorees:

• Wiley Price, St. Louis American

• "Living St. Louis" Creative Team, Nine PBS- Jim Kirchherr, Ruth Ezell, Anne Marie Berger, Brooke Butler, Kara Vaninger
