National Prosecco Day 2021

Sip, sip hooray… it’s National Prosecco Day! And, luckily, it’s already five o’clock somewhere.

At SL, we love an excuse to visit The Wine and Cheese Place, and today seems like the perfect occasion. Beyond prosecco, SL has a full list of “Summer Sips” from around the globe rounded up in our July/ August issue. Here’s a sneak peek at some of our favorites:

Summer water at its finest, Juvé and Camps’ flagship rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir. This intense and exuberant blend follows the French “méthode traditionnelle”, meaning each bottle is aged for 15 months. The aroma of cherries and strawberries add to this energetic mouthfeel.

To add some more je ne sais quois to your collection, try E. Guigal’s Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2018. Guigal is the single largest producer of whites in the Rhône Valley of France. Located on the border of both Italy and Switzerland, even if a well-rounded, full-bodied white doesn’t satisfy your palette, you could always plan your next vacation to the region instead. Noted as elegant, powerful, and balanced, this blend sounds a lot like you.

Rounding out our list on the coast of Chile is Errázuriz MAX Point Noir 2019. Daringly planted less than ten miles from the Pacific Ocean, these vineyards produce a high quality, unique Pinot Noir with notes of fruit and balsamic. For this price, you might just want to buy two (or more) bottles.

Cheers! Even though summer is winding down, our glasses will remain full here at SL. Yours can, too, by subscribing to our magazine or newsletter:https://www.sophisticatedstlouis.com/mag/subscribe.
