Amóre! With recent memories of a wonderful holiday season fresh in our minds, it is now time to turn our attention to the season of love! Following are some of the ways Susie Busch-Transou, owner of Hearth & Soul in Ladue suggests spreading the love.

Valentine’s Day marks an opportunity to share our sentiments with our loved ones. There are so many different ways to share sentiment… One of my favorites is the gift of the written word! Sending a handwritten note to a loved one, letting them know how important they are to you and the joy that they bring is one of the greatest Valentine’s gifts of all!

It has been so much fun buying for Hearth & Soul. Finding great cards and unique gifts to make Valentine’s Day sentimental sharing and gifting easy. Some of my favorites this year include our new Bissinger’s chocolates which are made right here in St. Louis with beautiful packaging and chocolates that melt in your mouth!

I also absolutely love our Kew pots from England that can be planted with your favorite greenery or floral arrangement for that special finishing touch.

Valentine’s gift traditions often include fragrance, and we have our favorite Bond No 9 featuring some of their newest scents, New York Chic and Greenpoint, and Sana Jardin from France is another incredible fragrance line and I absolutely love the sandalwood scent (and the rollerball is only $38 and perfect to carry in your purse!)

Beyond flowers and fragrance, we have curated a wonderful collection of jewels. I know “diamonds are a girl’s best friend: but turquoise, rubies, everywhere on any occasion! We have so many great choices across multiple price points of semi-fine and fine for your loved ones!

And for our favorite guys, whether you are looking for fragrance, watches, knives, pens, or a great new outfit…We are here for them!
