Passion Projects with Staenberg and Schankman

The sky's the limit when the pairing of Michael Staenberg and Steve Schankman tackles a project. Obviously, the results of the dynamic duo’s latest venture, The Factory, exceed expectations.

“Passion Projects” in our current issue dives into a conversation with Staenberg and Schankman about Chesterfield Valley’s The Factory, a unique venue that offers what no one else in St. Louis has offered before. Praise for staples in the St. Louis performance scene like The Pageant, The Sheldon, and more inspired the pair to go above and beyond with their latest project.

With almost 90, 000 cars passing the former Taubman Prestige Outlets daily, Staenberg honed in on the untapped opportunity. Enlisting Schankman, the two set out to build the perfect spot for live entertainment, shopping, dining, and fun. Looking at the largest and greatest venues in the country, The Factory was created. From green rooms to loading docks to highway access, no detail was overlooked or underdone. The third piece to this puzzle? Brian Carp who formerly worked with the 11 location House of Blues entertainment venues.

As the trio describe, thoughtful choices in construction, lending (from Royal Banks), and contracting (from Keystone) all come together to create the magic of The Factory. And just in time; the demand for in person entertainment has skyrocketed. Acts like deadmau5, The Beach Boys with guest John Stamos, and more have already performed - with rave reviews. Luckily, the upcoming schedule is just as exciting: https://www.thefactorystl.com/shows/
